University of Washington Certificate in LID

Last year UW started a new, extensive certificate program in low impact development. The multi-month certification program included all the key info and details on LID, taught by several talented instructors. UW's offering the program again this year, and it will start this Fall. Below is their press release on it, and there's still space available.

Expand your technical skills with training in Low Impact Development (LID), a sustainable design approach to stormwater management. Explore the design process and implementation of LID projects and become familiar with environmental regulations that may impact execution. Learn about practical applications of LID and gain project experience by participating in field trips and a design charette. Developed in partnership with the UW Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering. Instructors: Dustin Atchison (Water Resources Engineer, CH2M HILL), Wayne E Carlson (Associate Principal, AHBL, Inc.), and Greg Giraldo (Senior Civil Engineer, SvR Design Company). Apply now to start this fall. For more info, visit http://www.pce.uw.edu/prog.aspx?id=4079 or call 206-685-8936 or 888-469-6499.
